I have many favorite scenes from your Yellowstone series. The first one that comes to mind is when Daniel goes to the future to find Aimee! All the searching through the city, the hospital and then the look on Aimee's face when she finally sees Daniel again! Loved it!! This question has made me want to reread this series, I think I will this weekend!! thank you for the great books!

Hi Sharon,
DeleteThat was probably the most difficult scene I wrote in that entire book. Trying to put myself in Daniel's mind, seeing the future through his eyes, was such a challenge!
Have fun re-reading the books.
I love all of your books! I just completed my 3rd one.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite scene in Come Home to Me is when Rachel is running across the field to get back to Jake and he sees her and runs to meet her and finds out he's going to be a daddy. So sweet! Another favorite scene is when he goes to her the night before he knows he's going to get sent back to the future and and is just loving her up! You could feel his passion for her oozing off the page!
My favorite scene in Yellowstone Heart Song - and this is going to sound strange - but it's when Aimee gets sent back to the future against her will and is just sobbing for days over missing Daniel. I could feel her misery, and actually teared up a little, myself! Sad, but powerful!
My favorite scene in Yellowstone Redemption - another strange scene to be a favorite - but it's the entire passage when Chase is running from the Blackfoot warriors. I found myself holding my breath and my heart racing as he fought to escape. I love how Sarah's image kept spurring him on.
Thank you for writing these books - I'm so glad I found them!

Hi Beth,
Deletethose are great scenes, and rank among my favorites, as well. The YHS scene where Aimee goes home, especially the shower scene, is very personal to me, and is one of two scenes in the series that brought tears to my eyes when I wrote them.
Chase's run for his life is the very first scene I wrote in Yellowstone Redemption. When I plotted that book, I knew that scene had to be in the book (it's my own take on an actual historical account of mountain man John Colter's run for his life against the Blackfoot Indians)
And the scene in Come Home to Me....I'm so glad I was able to convey the emotions in that scene of Jake's last night. When I was listening to the audio version of that scene for the first time, it brought tears to my eyes.
I also have to many scenes to mention love all your books
