(Book 1) Come Home to Me
Jake Owens is tired of life on his parents’ Montana ranch, catering to city folk who want a taste of old-fashioned country living. He enjoys life in the fast lane, with fast cars and even faster women. When he falls in with the wrong crowd and is accused of murder, a stranger’s bizarre offer at a second chance might be his only hope to clear his name.
Rachel Parker is highly devoted to her family. A tragedy prompts a daring move to the Oregon Territory for a fresh start in a new land. After meeting the wagon train’s scout, the meaning of a fresh start may be more than she ever imagined.
Jake can’t believe he’s been sent back in time to act as scout for a wagon train headed for Oregon, and given the added burden of keeping one emigrant woman safe during the journey. He and Rachel are confused by their attraction to each other. Jake’s ill-mannered, unconventional ways are overshadowed only by his notorious reputation. Rachel’s traditional values and quiet, responsible character are the complete opposite of what attracts Jake to a woman. When their forbidden attraction turns to love, what will happen at the end of the trail?
Delaney Goodman has been running from her painful past all
her life. Dreams of working with horses
have long been replaced with the reality of doing anything to make ends
meet. About to hit rock bottom, she accepts
a stranger’s proposition, even if it sounds too good to be true. She figures
she has nothing, not even her dignity, to lose.
She awakens in an unfamiliar setting - and century - and quickly
discovers that she will need more than her charm to complete the task assigned
to her.
On the surface, Tyler Monroe has everything going for him - good looks, the respect of his friends and
neighbors, and a thriving horse ranch. However,
his past holds deep wounds with thick emotional scars. When a brazen, beautiful
woman arrives in town, Tyler makes an impulsive decision that will cause him to
question everything he knows.
Tyler is unlike any man Laney has ever met. Laney is exactly the kind of woman Tyler wants
to avoid. As the attraction between them grows, questions arise that stretch
the boundaries of trust for both. The
secrets that threaten to tear them apart could be exactly what Tyler and Laney
need to bring them together.
Reverend Johnson is in the business of
granting second chances to those deserving a new start, even if it means
bending the rules of time travel on occasion. In Gabe McFarlain’s case, he may
have gone too far . . .
Abandoned by his father, and raised in a whorehouse, Gabe has grown
bitter to the world. Fueled by revenge and hatred, his actions leave him facing
the hangman’s noose. Accepting certain death, he wakes up in a time and place
that is as foreign as the tender touch of the woman who rescues him.
Down to earth and level-headed, Morgan Bartlett isn’t afraid to wear
her heart on her sleeve. All she wants is independence from her overbearing
mother, and the freedom to shape her own destiny. When she aids a badly beaten
man along the side of the road, she may have found more than a dusty cowboy
down on his luck.
Morgan’s unshakable belief that Gabe is a good man slowly chisels
away the walls he’s built around himself. As he comes to terms with living in
the future, he must decide if losing his heart is worth more than holding on to
the life he’s led in the past.
well I guess I have to wait for "Aint No Angel" but as soon as it is released I will read it.:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Connie! :-)
DeleteIt's November, where is it? Waiting on pins and needles here. Lol.
ReplyDeleteHi LaKeshia,
DeleteThank you for asking...it's not quite ready yet. I still have a few weeks left in November, right? :D
Is Yellowstone trilogy books 3 & 4 going to be available in audible soon? Would love to listen to them.
ReplyDeleteJanet C.
Hi Janet!
DeleteThanks so much for your interest in the audio versions of the Yellowstone series! The third book, Yellowstone Awakening, is wrapping up production as I type this. Probably by the end of this week. From there, it usually takes Audible another couple of weeks to get it marketed. I will make an announcement on the blog as soon as it becomes available.
The producer, Nick Sarando, will move right into the narration of Yellowstone Dawn from there.
Yellowstone Deception, Book 5, was just released on February 5th. Working with two different narrators on this series, their production schedule was a bit different, so the books are getting released out of sequence.
The first book in the Teton Trilogy (sort of a spin-off to the Yellowstone series) just went live on Audible yesterday. I'll be making a formal announcement about it on the blog soon - just waiting on an interview from the narrator.
Thanks again for asking!
Best wishes,
Peggy
Loved the Second Chances Series. When can I buy the 3rd one? Will Gabe reappear?
ReplyDeleteHi Rocky,
DeleteSo glad to hear you've enjoyed the first two books of Second Chances. The third book will hopefully be out later this year. It's Gabe's second chance story.
All the best,
Peggy
Just read both Second Chance books this week and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the third book to be released. These books are simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
DeleteSo glad to hear you enjoyed the first two Second Chances books. I am currently working on Book 3, Diamond in the Dust, and hoping for a release later this year.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
Peggy
Do you think you can make a part two Ain't no angel.
ReplyDeleteHi Zoe,
DeleteWhen you say "part two", do you mean a continuation of Laney and Tyler's story, or a new story involving Gabe? I am currently working on Gabe's story. The book is titled Diamond in the Dust, and it will be released in October. Stay tuned for an exact release date.
Heading to Yellowstone for the first time on Thursday because of your books.
ReplyDeleteI hope I can find the Madison Valley and visualize a tiny cabin....... : ) Leaving
from Mission Viejo and passing through The Tetons. Never been there either, but
of course, now I have to. : )
Hi Mary! Oh, you get to go in the fall! That's an awesome time to see the park! From Mission Viejo, it's just about 1000 miles to get there! (if you are driving). I know you'll love it. To get to the Madison Valley as it's described in the book, you'll want to get to a place called Madison Junction - it's on the Grand Loop Road. And yes, there is a cabin there (it's a bookstore and the Junior Ranger Station) I hope you have a fabulous time!
DeleteHave just finished Book 1 - Come Home To Me - and enjoyed it very much!! Cannot wait to be able to purchase and read the other books in this series.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by! Glad you enjoyed Come Home to Me.
DeleteI've just finished book 3 and desperately want to know if there's a book 4 in the making!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mars World,
DeleteYes, there's a 4th book in the planning stages (and I'm also toying with the idea of a novella to go between Book 3 and 4).
Thank you for asking! :D
I read Book 1 some months ago. Have just finished Book 3. Now I have to wait to get paid again before I can buy Book 2 and get the complete series. Looking forward to Book 4 as well. Wouldn't mind reading the novella either. Excellent series, Peggy!!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered the 2nd chance series will there be a 4th?
ReplyDeleteHi Iris,
DeleteYes, a fourth book is in the works... Thanks for asking! :D
